Made from 100% viscose, this rug adds a luxurious feel to your living space with its elegant, lustrous texture. The fringed edges create a classic, sophisticated look, while the 5.5 mm pile height provides a soft, comfortable surface. Densely woven with 2,000,000 knots, it clearly showcases fine pattern details; its weight of 3,100 g/m² ensures a durable, luxurious feel. This variant is a shimmering living room rug featuring a fine scattered floral pattern on a navy ground with a cream border.
What Is Viscose?
Viscose is a fiber derived from the cellulose of trees and plants. Because natural cellulose is processed and regenerated into fibers, it is also known as “regenerated cellulose fiber.” It stands out for its silk-like softness, natural sheen, and silky surface that reflects light. Unlike fully synthetic fibers such as acrylic or polypropylene, viscose reflects light from multiple angles, creating a vivid shimmer that changes with movement, and becomes softer with use. In the Topkapı Series, 100% viscose is combined with a dense 2,000,000-knot weave to create a fine, lustrous, highly detailed surface. The shimmer of viscose brings out the fine details and color transitions of classic patterns, especially in well-lit spaces. The Topkapı Series is a special shimmering collection designed for living rooms and sitting rooms, combining the silky sheen of viscose fibers with classic rug patterns.

How Do You Clean a Viscose Rug?
Topkapı Series 100% viscose living room rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug-cleaning companies. Washing in a home machine, using detergent, or scrubbing with a wet brush can permanently damage the fibers. Since viscose is a naturally derived (regenerated) cellulose fiber, it is sensitive to water and excessive moisture. Please avoid machine washing, washing at home with detergent, scrubbing with a wet brush, and steam cleaning. For everyday care, use a low-suction vacuum cleaner and gently blot any stains with a slightly damp cloth. Protecting the rug from prolonged direct sunlight will help preserve its silky sheen, fine pattern, and vibrant colors for longer.
Add elegance, a silky sheen, and timeless style to your living space with the Topkapı 100% viscose classic living room rug, featuring a fine scattered floral pattern in navy and cream. Available in a wide range of sizes, from 80 x 150 cm to 300 x 400 cm, it suits any space, from hallways to very large living rooms. You can return it unconditionally within 14 days of delivery. Protect Its Elegance
To preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia’s handwoven creations made with natural fibers—which add value to your living space—for generations, a careful care routine is essential.
Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid spills, timing is critical. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, blot the liquid gently from the surface without rubbing. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use a vacuum cleaner with low suction. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance how natural yarns react to light and prevent uneven changes in color (fading), we recommend rotating your rug every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Fine textures such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For a thorough clean, seek help only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
