The Story of This Rug
The garden panel (khesti / garden design) is the most direct expression in Persian rug weaving of the paradise-garden concept depicted since the Safavid period: the rug’s surface is divided into square compartments, each portraying a separate flower bed. Among the Bakhtiari nomads, this design continues under the name “khesti” (brick). Afghan artisans reinterpret this heritage in a Chobi natural palette; the wool is dyed with plant extracts and given a patina through washing.

Color and Pattern
The rug’s surface is divided into four large panels: a turquoise-ground garden in the upper left, a row of flowers on a golden-yellow ground in the upper right, a bouquet of palmettes on a madder-red ground in the lower left, and a second section on a golden ground in the lower right. Within each panel, Shah Abbas palmettes, lotus buds, cypresses, and tiny boteh motifs create an independent garden. A wide pomegranate-red outer border frames the panels with an ivory-ground palmette and rosette frieze; the inner border is a narrow turquoise strip.

If your rug is not what you expected, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. Once you submit your return request, we will send you the shipping barcode. You do not need to take the rug to a shipping branch — you can call the nearest Yurtiçi Kargo branch and request pickup from your address. Return shipping costs are covered by us.

Every rug is covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth and never rubbing, gently blot the liquid from the surface. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural lay of the fibers). Rubbing can damage the structure of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If you are unsure, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuum cleaners and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural fibers to light and prevent localized tone differences (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Noble materials such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug-care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
The exceptional pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for washing in a washing machine due to their construction. (Only our specific models explicitly marked “Washable” in their names may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
